Successful Student Mobility Program from Bosnia and Herzegovina

We are proud to celebrate the successful completion of a two-week student mobility initiative, co-funded by this Erasmus+ project, that, in May 2025, welcomed 15 bright and motivated students from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Foligno, Italy!

This enriching program offered students the chance to gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in the tourism and hospitality sector. By engaging directly with professionals and real-world workplaces, the students developed valuable technical and soft skills while expanding their perspectives.

Throughout their stay, students were placed in a variety of roles, including:

  •  Local Restaurants – working as assistant chefs and waiters at Ristorante MeTeMagno, Ristorante Botanico, Osteria Bacerotti, and Cucinaa.
  •  Hotels – experiencing front-of-house operations as receptionists at Hotel Villa dei Platani and Hotel Italia.
  • Travel Agency – learning the ropes of trip planning as assistant travel agents.
  • Local NGO – contributing to CRHACK LAB Foligno, where they supported the organisation of an international event, the C.R.E.A. Cultura Festival (https://www.creacultura.eu/en/) and built teamwork and digital skills.

In addition to the valuable work-based learning experiences, students and accompanying teachers had the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical wonders of Rome. This visit added an unforgettable dimension to their mobility journey, allowing them to connect with Italy’s rich heritage beyond the workplace.

A heartfelt thank you to all our local partners who generously opened their doors and made this experience possible. This initiative demonstrates the power of cross-border collaboration in education and the lasting impact such programs can have on young people’s personal and professional development.
